Make some noise!

"For ten days, renowned film, game and media composers and sound designers will provide tips and insights into their work. Among other things, we will discuss new technical developments and the possibilities and market opportunities for future film composers," explains Achim Esser-Mamat, head of theMediaSoundHamburg this year's programme. "For all of us, the ten days are not just an intensive exchange of ideas, but more and more a family reunion with new encounters and future business contacts. The audience won't miss out either and can look forward to some small and fine musical evenings."

Highlights of this year's MediaSoundHamburg for the professional audience include the MasterClass SoundDesign with Mexican sound editor and sound designer Martin Hernández (Oscar nominations for Birdman or The Revenant) and the MasterClass GameMusic with Finnish composer Ari Pulkkinen, who composed the music for the video game Angry Birds and the MasterClass FilmMusic with the Danish composer Frans Bak (Inspector Lund, Doctor Foster, Lilyhammer, Thirteen Steps Down). In addition to workshops, forums and MasterClasses, there will be public lectures and public events, such as the distribution of the Young Talent Award Media Music with the Kaiser Quartet and the closing evening of the Nordic Media Sound Day with jazz pianist Martin Tingvall, among others.

The closing evening will include a workshop discussion in cooperation with Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein: The film composers Martin Lingnau and Ingmar Süberkrüb will talk about their work.
