A new, familiar face at MOIN Film Fund: Sonja Heinen, most recently CEO of European Film Promotion, is to take up the post of Development Executive for MOIN Film Fund’s NEST programme on 1 September 2026. This newly created role will serve as the central hub for all activities – ensuring even closer support for NEST projects as they make their way to market.

Die Nordic NEST-Jury hat entschieden: Mit „Cargo Crime“ von Autorin Valeria Richter aus Dänemark, „Deeper“ von Eva-Maria Koskinen aus Finnland und „White Noise“ von Stefanie Ren aus Deutschland wurden anlässlich der Filmfestspiele von Cannes die drei Gewinnerprojekte der ersten Nordic NEST-Runde bekanntgegeben. Alle Projekte werden sowohl aus den nordischen Ländern als auch aus Deutschland produziert und bekommen für die Drehbuchphase eine zusätzliche Förderung von bis zu 60.000 Euro je Projekt.

Lisa Emer will take over the management of the Creative Europe Desk Hamburg on 1 July 2026. She succeeds Christiane Siemen, who has shaped the Creative Europe MEDIA programme's advisory office in Hamburg for 34 years and is now retiring. Dr Jan Asmus from MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein will take over as commercial CEO.

Hamburg, 13.04.2026 - Hamburg Media School, MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and the City of Hamburg are launching the next year of GetOnSet, once again sending a strong signal for the practical promotion of young talent in the film and series industry. Career changers can now apply for the ten-month film trainee programme.

In their first meetings of the year, the MOIN Film Fund committees awarded more than 4.4 million euros to 35 projects. The funded productions include the 22 Bahnen sequel "Windstärke 17" by Caroline Wahl, the tragicomedy "Skaterherz" starring Jasmin Tabatabai and Edin Hasanovic, a historical drama about Hans Christian Andersen and the film "Mama?" with Maxton Hall star Harriet Herbig-Matten. All films have numerous shooting days in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.

It’s a match: Eight teams of producers and writers have come together as part of the Nordic NEST and are now working across borders on their film and series treatments. The program by MOIN Film Fund, the German Federal Film Board (FFA) and the Five Nordics is thereby entering the screenplay phase – the three best projects will be announced during the Cannes Film Festival.

The Hamburg Senate and MOIN Film Fund invited the film industry to Tea Time at the Hamburg State Representation in Berlin on Saturday, 14 February, as part of the Berlinale. Among the guests were Shahrbanoo Sadat, Bruno Alexander, Laura Tonke, Aaron Hilmer, Doris Dörrie, Jeanette Hain and Merlin Sandmeyer.
