Do your thing!
18.10.2018 | Udo Lindenberg comes to the cinema

A music legend is coming to the big screen: filming has been underway since 11 October for "Lindenberg! Do your thing!", the new film about the life of Udo Lindenberg starring Jan Bülow, Detlev Buck and Charly Hübner, among others. Directors is Hermine Huntgeburth.
From his childhood in Gronau in Westphalia to his first, all-important stage appearance in Hamburg in 1973; from his beginnings as a highly talented jazz drummer to his adventurous engagement at a US military base in the Libyan desert: LINDENBERG! MACH DEIN DING! tells the story of a boy from the Westphalian provinces who never really had a chance and yet seized it to become Germany's most famous rock star. Shooting star Jan Bülow (Abgeschnitten, Der Nanny) plays the leading role in the Letterbox production, which is being directed by Hermine Huntgeburth (Die weiße Massai, Tom Sawyer) from a script by Alexander Rümelin, Christian Lyra and Sebastian Wehlings. The film about the life of Udo Lindenberg will be shot in NRW, Hamburg, Berlin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Morocco. The film is expected to be released in cinemas in early 2020.
