This year, the decision was made in a virtual meeting instead of the traditional Filmfest Hamburg meeting.
The Committee selected the following projects for Fundings from twelve applications:
The Shallow Tale of a Writer who decided to write about a Serial Killer from Tolga Karaçelik, 15,000 euros Co-production: Port au Prince Film (Berlin) & Karaçelik Film
Two Eyeds by Ziya Demirel, 15,000 euros Co-production: Istos Film & Klinkerfilm (Hamburg)
Suddenly by Melisa Önel, 10,000 euros Co-production: Vigo Film & Leitwolf Filmproduktion (Hamburg)
The projects that emerged from the German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund include Emin Alper's drama "A Tale Of Three Sisters", a co-production by Berlin-based Komplizen Film, which screened in competition at the Berlinale in 2019.
The German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund was launched in 2011 by Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and the Istanbul Film Festival - Meetings on the Bridge - with the aim of strengthening cooperation between German and Turkish filmmakers.
