In Südstrand on the island of Fehmarn, the cinema film3 days in Quiberon was shot by Emily Atef. TheRaw film-The film tells the story of three significant days in Romy Schneider's life.
In 1981, the famous actress Romy Schneider, played by Marie Bäumer, spends some time in Brittany to regenerate for her next film. She is visited by her long-time friend Hilde (Birgit Minichmayr), but also by STERN journalist Michael Jürgs (Robert Gwisdek) and star photographer Robert Lebeck (Charly Hübner). Three unforgettable days follow. The epoch-making interview, in which Romy wants to settle accounts with the German press, becomes an inventory of her life.
3 days in Quiberon by Emily Atef, who also wrote the script and was inspired by real-life events, was filmed over 31 days on location in Fehmarn, Hamburg and at original locations in Quiberon, Brittany.
The film was developed by MAHA Productions and Rohfilm Factory with Emily Atef and produced by Rohfilm Factory, in co-production with the Austrian Dor Film, Sophie Dulac from France, NDR, Arte, ORF, Tita.B. and Departures Film.
Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein has supported the film with 350,000 euros in production funding. Shot in black and white and Cinemascope, the film will be released in cinemas by Prokino in 2018. Beta Cinema is handling world sales.
