14.06.2017 | Spoorendonk honours cinema programmes
Minister of Culture Anke Spoorendonk presented the Schleswig-Holstein Cinema Prize at the Husum Cinema Centre. By increasing the prize money by 15,000 euros, the cinemas were able to receive a total of 42,500 euros this year.
"The Cinema Programme Award is a contribution by the state to maintaining a vibrant cinema landscape, an acknowledgement of good programme work and a thank you for culturally valuable work in many places in our state," says Culture Minister Anke Spoorendonk. There were 26 applications for this year's Schleswig-Holstein Cinema Prize, which honours the 2016 programme year, from which the jury selected 22 cinemas. A distinction was made between commercial and non-commercial cinemas.
The independent jury consisted of: Eduard Barnsteiner (Barnsteiner Film, Ascheffel), Katrin Mersmann (FFHSH, Hamburg), and Astrid Muckli (Muckli-Kino Betriebsgesellschaft, Oldenburg/Lower Saxony). The competition was organised by the Filmwerkstatt Kiel of the Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein.
