A glamorous start to 2018: Fatih Akin has won the Golden Globe in the "Best Foreign Language Film" category for his Hamburg thriller "Into the Fate". The Golden Globes are considered the most important barometer for the Oscars.

About the film: In Fatih Akin's thrillerInto the fate internationally renowned actress Diane Kruger plays Katja, a young mother who loses her husband and son in a bomb attack. The police catch two suspects: a young neo-Nazi couple. Katja wants justice - there is no alternative for her. Kruger received the award for Best Actress for her role at the 70th Cannes Film Festival. The film was producedInto the fate by bombero international and Warner Bros. Film Productions Germany in co-production with Macassar Productions, Pathé and corazón international. The production was supported by Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein (FFHSH), Deutscher Filmförderfonds (DFFF), Die Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien (BKM), Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and Filmförderungsanstalt (FFA).
