The financial risk of another lockdown or a wave of infections on set has so far paralysed the entire film industry. The cancellation guarantees are vital for many production companies to be able to shoot again at all. Hamburg is setting an important example here and thus securing film culture in the north. Our thanks go to the Ministry of Culture and Media and the red-green government factions for their commitment to Hamburg's film industry."
