This year, Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein will be represented at the 62nd Nordic Film Days Lübeck from 4 to 8 November with 16 funded films and two industry events. Originally planned as a hybrid festival, the event will now take place entirely online due to the new Covid measures - almost all films can be streamed from home.
Helge AlbersCEO of Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein: "These are not easy days for the cinema and festival landscape: we are all the more pleased that the Nordic Film Days Lübeck are making a large part of their programme available for streaming virtually overnight. Chapeau for this feat! Special thanks go to long-time artistic director Linde Fröhlich, who is leaving the festival this year for her well-deserved retirement. She has shaped the Nordic Film Days like hardly anyone else and created a special platform for Nordic film. Hopefully we will see each other again next year - not virtually, but in the cinema."

Animated Documentaries depict what is difficult or even impossible for cameras - memories, emotions, taboo subjects. In the masterclass offered as a video conference, Director Ilze Burkovska-Jacobsen, Executive Producer Fabian Driehorst and Director Frédéric Schuld will discuss their films "My Favourite War" and "The Chimney Swift". You can watch both films online in advance via the Nordic Film Days Lübeck streaming platform (available from Wednesday, 4 November). The moderator will be Arne Sommer (FFHSH). How can a historical topic be presented in a way that is topical and relevant to audiences today? How do Executive Producers and Distributors attract an audience for films with historical themes?
