In addition to numerous films worth seeing, the Filmfest Hamburg will once again feature exciting specialist events for those interested in the industry. MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein is organising four events - two on water and two on land.
HARBOUR BOAT TOURS
The programme begins and ends on the water. On Saturday, 2 October and Thursday, 7 October, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., we will board a barge. TheHarbour Boat Tour takes you through the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district, shows new developments in HafenCity and presents idyllic places, shipyards and industrial facilities between Reiherstieg and Norderelbe as well as tourist hotspots and location highlights between Övelgönne, Landungsbrücken and Citysporthafen. In addition to inspiring motifs and a fresh breeze, the boat tour also offers time for socialising and networking.

GERMANY AFTER THE ELECTION - QUESTIONS ABOUT THE FUTURE OF GERMAN FILM
On Monday, 4 October, eight days after the election, we're putting our money where our mouth is. Together with key political players, we will be discussing the most important topics for the future of the film and cinema industry in the Cinemaxx cinema auditorium: How can we make the cinema landscape shine after the coronavirus crisis? How can we make German film more diverse and sustainable? How can we remain competitive in the international arena? The panel will be moderated by Germany after the election - questions about the future of German film by Maike Mia Höhne (Director Short Film Festival Hamburg). These participants will discuss on stage:

INCLUSION RIDER PRACTICAL TEST - HOW DIVERSITY WORKS WITH A CONTRACT
Since Frances McDormand's legendary Oscar speech, the term "inclusion rider" has quickly come up when it comes to calling for more diversity in film. But how does the contract concept work in practice? In the new Tatort "Schattenleben", produced by NDR and Wüste Film, an inclusion rider was used for the first time in a German film production - on the initiative of Director Mia Spengler.
At the joint panel organised by MOIN Film Fund and the German Film AcademyPractical test Inclusion Rider - How does diversity by contract work? on 6 October at 2 p.m., the Tatort team will report on their experiences with an inclusion rider: What worked? What were the hurdles? How can the tool contribute to making the German film industry more diverse in the long term?
The keynote will be held by lawyer Lioba Cremer, who developed the Inclusion Rider for the production. Discussion on the Filmfest stage:
