WithHighlight Sweden There will be a country focus for the first time, and the special conference programme for students will also be continued this year.

On 6 October from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., German and international speakers will provide insights into their work and strategies and impart future-oriented knowledge on two stages and in more than twelve programme slots at the Katholische Akademie Hamburg. In their contributions, the experts will shed light on current phenomena and developments in an industry that is undergoing radical change. Keynote speeches and case studies will cover topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence on creative work, current changes in film policy, upheavals in the TV and streaming market, the measurable effects of diversity, streamer showcases and much more.

With Highlight Sweden, a European guest country will be the focus of the programme for the first time. Speakers from Sweden will be travelling to Hamburg with case studies, trend analyses and contributions to debates. A delegation of Swedish conference participants is also expected to attend. The Swedish Film Institute is the partner of this format and national multiplier.

A special young talent programme at the conference is aimed exclusively at students attending Explorer Konferenz #4 as a delegation. This year, around 100 young guests are expected - that's just under a quarter of the total number of participants.

To get you in the mood for the conference in autumn, there will be two online Explorer Impulses on 5 and 19 September, which will be organised jointly with the Media TechHub Conference.

FILMFEST HAMBURG is a public festival and will take place this year from 28 September to 7 October 2023. Around 110 productions from all over the world will be shown as world, European, German or Hamburg premieres.

The Produzentenverband e.V. is the leading representative of independent cinema, streaming and television producers in Germany with currently 130 members.

MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein moves images in and to the North and supports cinema films, high-end series and innovative audiovisual formats of all genres - from the first draft to production, distribution and festival presentation.

POISON is an independent Berlin-based production company that is passionate about making films for cinema, television and events. Since 2022, it has been producing the Explorer Konferenz
