The train station of Altona is a dead-end station and an important crosspoint for national, regional and local transport. Build in 1979, the building was reconstructed in 2005/2006 and involves now shopping possibilities and gastronomy. A car park was build behind the building, next to the railways. The metro operates underground, in the northern part of the train station, the railways are coming up on a ramp to daylight. Behind that, there are several storage sidings, and flying junctions.

Modelled after the Friedrichstrasse and Alexanderplatz train stations in Berlin, the Dammtor train station, also simply called the Dammtor, was designed as an elevated railway. Broad Jugendstil, rustic stone facades and an ornate steel and glass roof are the impressive features of this carefully-restored train station. The entrance to the station is at ground level, the platforms are located above. In the vicinity of the building lies the old botanical garden. The Dammtor is Hamburg´s third train station in the city, the main station and the train station in Altona being the other two.

The main train station was built between 1899 and 1906. Located in the former moat of the city"s fortification, the station has an arched glass and iron roof. On the north side of the hall, the Wandelhalle, a promenade with shops on two floors was added between 1988 and 1991. The area includes an expressionist flower shop of 1925 with its beautiful decor of green and golden majolica tiles. The hall and its tudor-style construction with low side aisles echoes the "Halle des Machines" in the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889. Restrained renaissance elements integrated into the facade, demanded by Kaiser Wilhelm II, almost disappear behind the rough grey stone of the facade.

Kiel central station is the second largest station in Schleswig-Holstein and starting point for trips to Hamburg, Lübeck, Flensburg and Husum. It is located directly at Kieler Förde and a few meters away from the ferry pier to Göteborg and Oslo. The station is a railway terminus with a three-naved station hall. Between 1999 and 2006 was the station redesigned and modernized. The old emperor staircase in the eastern part of it was rebuilt, too.

Railway station: It is a 125 years old railway station close to the city of Neumuenster. The railway line Neumuenster – Segeberg – Bad Oldesloe doesn’t stop here, but the building is still existing and still looks like a railway station.

The steam locomotive of Angeln is a historical train and nowadays a museum. An association organizes seasonal tours between Kappeln and Suederbarup.

The elevated station of the Hamburg underground (the Hamburg underground is operated widely above the ground) crosses one of Hamburg´ s busiest streets. The platform offers a view to the modern shopping centres as well as to historical buildings.

A red colored brick-lined building with a modern Kiosk and a counter of the “Deutsche Bahn”. There are several multiple rail tracks, two of them with a platform.

Hamburg began to build its underground in 1906. The first line was opened in 1912. Today the Hamburg underground covers a distance of about 98 kilometres in and around the city. The trains which run underground as well as overground are the most important means of transportation of the “Hamburger Verkehrsverbund”, the Hamburg transport system. The iron constructions including ornaments, stone reliefs and glass panelling of some of the stations give vivid evidence of the era of enthusiasm for industrialisation. The renovated Mundsburg station is a wonderful example of a beautiful art nouveau building.
