Cécil Joyce Röski
I'm a transradical writer, living in the countryside in Sachsen-Anhalt. I write queer, class-conscious stories that flirt with magical realism, power and precarity. My work explores dream logic, body politics, and the quiet resilience of misfits who build soft kingdoms in broken worlds.

"Being Held" follows a group of queer sex workers who form a self-organized collective in 1980s St. Pauli during the AIDS crisis. Amid violence, stigma, and political struggle, they fight to create a space of safety, care and autonomy. The series explores bodies, intimacy, and solidarity as forms of resistance.
