Jana Pulkrabek
I am an actress & producer, occasionally writer & director who studied in New York, London and Berlin. I share the Hamburg-based company ManusArts with my brother, while also running a 3 country festival and network platform "Move the North" which presents cultural events in Hamburg-Copenhagen-Malmö. I love to travel and split my time between (currently) 3 homes in Hamburg, Copenhagen and London.
In search of freedom, Jirka escapes his family home after troops of the Warschauer Pakt invade Czech Republic and forcefully end the Prague Spring in 1969. In Hamburg's Free Port, freshly imported Beluga Caviar will become his “Hafengold” and alley on the path of working his way up from the barracks to become a successful salesclerk for some of the biggest Russian tanker ships of the time.
