There is now a new face at Filmwerkstatt Kiel: Anna Sophie Schmidt is our new FSJ student and will be supporting Arne Sommer and his team for the next twelve months.

The 19-year-old from Lüneburg spent an intercultural year in Finland straight after school and discovered analogue and digital photography for herself. The path to moving images was then not far away: "For me, the profession of Director of Photography would definitely be an exciting option for the future. I could also very well imagine training as a media designer in image and sound," says Anna Sophie. In the coming year, she will get to know a wide range of different areas at the Filmwerkstatt: from accounting and technical rental to the film submission process - and the odd event and cinema screening is of course also on the programme.
