After Akin's film at the beginning of the year Into the fate has already won numerous awards - including the Golden Globe - he has dedicated himself to a dark chapter in Hamburg's criminal history with Heinz Strunk's novel: Fritz Honka, the murderer of women, met his victims in the mid-1970s in the neighbourhood pub "Zum Goldenen Handschuh", which is still located on Hamburger Berg today. Honka is played by 22-year-old up-and-coming star Jonas Dassler, who last appeared in Lars Kraume'sThe silent classroom was convincing. It is not yet clear when filming on the horror classic will begin - but we are already more than excited about Akin's first US production.
