Young talent programme "Nordlichter"

From now on, up-and-coming North German writers, Directors and Executive Producers can apply with their concepts for the realisation of new "Nordlichter" films. For the first time, there are no thematic requirements; all fictional narrative forms are permitted. The competition organised by NDR, Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein (FFHSH) and nordmedia - Film- und Mediengesellschaft Niedersachsen / Bremen is open until15 January 2019 Exposés, treatments or scripts for full-length feature films can be submitted.

It is important that the stories are set and filmed in northern Germany - i.e. in Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein or Hamburg. At least one of the young talents (writer / Director / producer) should come from Northern Germany. The call for entries is aimed at filmmakers who want to realise their first or second feature-length film. Exposés (up to a maximum of 7 pages), treatments (maximum 30 pages) or scripts can be submitted together with a CV and, in the case of Directors, samples of their work. The selected material should be realised in 2019 and 2020. Afterwards, a festival exploitation is desired, a cinema exploitation should also be made possible
