Five German-Turkish film projects in development supported

The German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund of Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and Istanbul Film Festival - Meetings on the Bridge, supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture, met for a funding session during the 26th Filmfest Hamburg.

From the 15 applications, the Committee selected 5 projects for Fundings:

18+ by Ceylan Özgün Özçelik, 18,500 euros Co-producers: Filmada & Una Film

Kar ve Ayı / Snow and the Bear from Selcen Ergun, 18,000 euros Co-producers: Nefes Films & Riva Filmproduktion

Zuhal by Nazlı Elif Durlu, 15,000 euros Co-producers: Istos Film & One Two Films

Normal by Ali Kemal Çınar, 10,000 euros Co-producers: Layen Film & Klinkerfilm

Yeni Şafak Solarken / New Dawn Fades by Gürcan Keltek, 7,000 euros Co-producers: Gürcan Keltek Films & The Storybay

Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and the Istanbul Film Festival - Meetings on the Bridge founded the German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund in 2011 with the aim of strengthening cooperation between German and Turkish filmmakers.

Projects that have emerged from the fund include Asli Özge's "Auf einmal", which celebrated its world premiere in the Panorama section of the Berlinale, and Emin Alper's "A Tale Of Three Sisters", a co-production by Berlin-based Komplizen Film, which is currently in post production.
