A spectacular car chase through the Speicherstadt warehouse district and the Elbphilharmonie concert hall as the headquarters of a shady tech company: the new "3 Angels for Charlie" film is a must-see for Hamburg fans. The team led by Director Elizabeth Banks and lead actress Kristen Stewart spent two weeks filming in the Hanseatic city in 2018.

The action comedy will be released in cinemas on 2 January 2020, with a special screening at Hamburg's Zeise cinemas on 14 January.

In the film 'Three Angels for Charlie', even the Elphi washrooms become Hollywood stars. The two-week filming period also had an economic impact: In the Hanseatic city, five times the amount of funding was spent during filming - for example on service providers or the local film crew."

Filming took place in Hamburg in autumn 2018. In addition to the Elbphilharmonie and Speicherstadt, filming also took place on Fleetinsel, in Oberhafen and in Hafencity. Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein supported the project with 400,000 euros and worked closely with the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg Marketing and the Ministry of Culture and Media.

Date note On Tuesday, 14 January 2020, Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg's Zeise cinemas are hosting a screening of "Three Angels for Charlie" with guests. Among others, Markus Bensch from Studio Babelsberg and Hamburg Location Scout Nic Diedrich will be present in the cinema. Tickets for the screening are available at zeise.de.

The film was produced by Elizabeth Banks, Doug Belgrad, Elizabeth Cantillon and Max Handelman. Matthew Hirsch, Leonard Goldberg, Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen are executive producers.
