A total of twelve FFHSH-funded films have made it onto the shortlist for the 2020 German Film Awards, which will be presented in Berlin on 24 April. A total of nine productions are represented in the "Feature film" category alone - including "Systemsprenger" by Nora Fingscheidt and Hermine Huntgeburth's "Lindenberg! Do your thing", which celebrates its world premiere in Hamburg today.
Helge AlbersCEO of Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein: "What a haul: the Filmnorden is entering the race for a nomination for the German Film Award with twelve funded films. This year's nominees include major productions such as 'Deutschstunde' and the animated film 'Die Heinzels', as well as smaller highlights such as 'Futur Drei' and 'I Was, I Am, I Will Be'. And of course 'Lindenberg! Do your thing', which is celebrating its world premiere in the Hanseatic city this week. The pre-selection thus perfectly demonstrates the diversity of Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein as a film location. We are keeping our fingers crossed for all the film teams for the nominations in March."
