Hamburg cinemas can reopen under certain conditions

The condition is that suitable hygiene concepts are implemented and social distancing is observed in order to ensure the best possible health protection for visitors and employees alike. Corresponding concepts are now being developed by the facilities. This will determine when which facilities and programmes will reopen. Outdoor cultural events with up to 50 people are now also possible, for example concerts or theatre. The infection protection regulations also apply here. Operators of drive-in cinemas will be able to offer more live cultural events in future and Hagenbeck Zoo will be able to reopen its indoor areas in addition to its outdoor area, which is already open, subject to the usual conditions.

Hamburg's cinemas and district cultural centres will now develop suitable protection concepts in order to be able to resume operations under the applicable infection protection requirements. It is essential that the usual social distancing rules are observed and that each centre develops its own hygiene concept, for example for regular cleaning of public areas. Visitors must be guided and positioned in such a way that the social distancing requirement of 1.5 metres can be observed. Where this is difficult, for example in the checkout area, suitable separation devices must be provided. In addition, the contact details of visitors must be documented for four weeks so that any chains of infection can be traced.

Under the same conditions, live cultural events in the open air with up to 50 participants will also be possible in future. Here, too, a corresponding concept for infection protection is a prerequisite, in which, among other things, the precautions for compliance with the distance regulations, compliance with hygiene, especially in the sanitary areas, are set out.

Operators of drive-in cinemas can now also offer other live cultural events under the same conditions that apply to the operation of the drive-in cinema.
