Forward into the 90s!

"Horst Schlämmer - Isch kandidiere!", "Ein Mann, ein Fjord" and "Cheese": In the 90s and 2000s, Hape Kerkeling not only appeared on stage but also in films and TV series that now enjoy cult status among many fans. Executive Producer at the time was his own company Blueverde. Under the name "Honeybird Film", Kerkeling now wants to build on his old successes - and has brought Hanseatic support on board to do so. Hamburg-based film lawyer Harro von Have has been a partner and CEO of the company since 2020. Von Have has already been working for the entertainer as a consultant for over 20 years, and now the collaboration is going one step further: "As a lawyer, you have a lot of overlap with the job of the Executive Producer in terms of material procurement, packaging, financing and structuring - and I'm very excited to help tell the stories as well. So the path to a joint production company was the logical next step," reveals von Have. The lawyer is certain that his law firm VON HAVE FEY, which specialises in talent production companies, will benefit from this practical aspect of the work.

Filming on the four-part mini-series "Club Las Piranjas" will start at the beginning of this year - a sequel to the film comedy from the 90s, in which Kerkeling once again takes on the role of the cunning animator Edwin Öttel. "I think it's great that we are now continuing the story of the film from back then in a mini-series. And with "Catweazle" director Sven Unterwaldt, we have someone in the director's chair who will bring the cult club from back then into the year 2022," says von Have, who was also on board as an Executive Producer for "Catweazle". Four episodes are currently planned, which will be broadcast at the end of the year on RTL+ and later onRTL and will be realised together with Warner Bros. International Television Production Deutschland. Further films and series from the Hape cosmos will follow in the coming years and are already being planned.
