Several national and regional funding institutions are often involved in the funding of film and series projects in Germany. In order to streamline and optimise the necessary review processes in the future, the federal and state film funding bodies have decided to jointly develop the requirements for a harmonised review process, particularly with regard to the recognition of production costs prior to the conclusion of the contract or before notices are issued and in the course of the final cost review.
