The German-Turkish Co-Production Development Fund was established in 2011 by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and the Istanbul Film Festival – Meetings on the Bridge. The aim of the fund is to strengthen German-Turkish cooperation and to support joint film projects between the two countries at an early stage of development.

Projects that have received funding to date include, amongst others, İlker Çatak’s Berlinale-winning film “Gelbe Briefe” (photo) and Gürcan Keltek’s film “New Dawn Fades”, which premiered at Locarno in 2024.
