
Women*Festival in Hamburg

Curtain up for Hamburg's first Women*Festival: from 5 to 8 March, Studio Kino will be showing ten works by and about women, including numerous guests, to mark International Women's Day.
The festival opened on Thursday with the multi-award-winning documentary #FemalePleasure by Barbara Miller, who was also on site for a discussion that day. Over the next three days, visitors can look forward to film highlights such as the Hamburg premieres of "Radioactive - Marie Curie" (6 March, 7 pm), "Kokon" with Jella Haase (7 March, 6 pm) and the preview of "Pelikanblut" with Nina Hoss (7 March, 8.30 pm). Pelikanblut was produced by Hamburg-based Executive Producer Verena Gräfe-Höft, who will also be on site for a discussion on the day. On Sunday, after the film "All I never wanted", there will be a final discussion on the topic "Women in film (business) - just for the eye?", which will be attended by FFHSH CEO Helge Albers, among others.
