Helge Albers, CEO of MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein: "An extremely strong year: this year, ten films with North German participation have the chance to win a total of 21 LOLAs. The Teachers' Lounge' by Directors Ilker Çatak, which was shot entirely in Hamburg, leads the way with a well-deserved seven nominations - an intense school drama with a more than convincing Leonie Benesch in the lead role. Ali Abbasi's thriller 'Holy Spider', which has already won an award in Cannes, is also in the running with four nominations. Fatih Akin's audience hit 'Rheingold' is nominated for Best Feature Film. And with 'Mittagsstunde' and 'When Will It Be Again Like It Never Before', two North German novel adaptations are among the nominees.
