A total of nine LOLAS went to FFHSH-funded films at the 68th German Film Awards on Friday evening. The biggest winner at the awards ceremony was Emily Atef's "3 Days in Quiberon" with seven prizes, including the gold award for best feature film and for Marie Bäumer as best leading actress. Fatih Akin's "Into the Fate" took home the silver trophy, while filmmaker Hark Bohm also received the award for best script. Bohm was also awarded an honorary LOLA for his outstanding services to German film.

There were an incredible seven awards for "3 Days in Quiberon", including the Gold Award for Best Feature Film. The entire film team around Directors Emily Atef and Executive Producer Karsten Stöter have created a small masterpiece with their black and white chamber play, which more than deserves every single award. About the film: Directors Emily Atef's film about a famous star interview with world star Romy Schneider screened in competition at the 2018 Berlinale and received a total of ten nominations at the 2018 German Film Awards. One of the main locations for the drama was the Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn in Schleswig-Holstein, alongside the original locations in Brittany and Hamburg. There, set designer Silke Fischer transformed the listed "Haus des Gastes" into a hotel for the film. The film music is by Hamburg composer duo Christoph M. Kaiser and Julian Maas.

About the film: Fatih Akin's NSU thriller has already won several awards in Hamburg this year - including the Golden Globe and the Critics' Choice Award. Diane Kruger was honoured as Best Actress in Cannes 2017 for her role as the young mother Katja, who loses her husband and son in a bomb attack.
Honour LOLA Directors, actor and Script Writer Hark Bohm (The North Sea is a murder sea) was honoured at the German Film Awards for his outstanding services to German film. Among other things, Bohm introduced the postgraduate programme "Film" at the University of Hamburg (now part of the Hamburg Media School), is co-founder of the Hamburg Film Office and recently wrote the scripts for Fatih Akin'sChick andInto the fate with.
About the German Film Award: The German Film Award, the LOLA, is the most highly endowed award for German film.
