The FFHSH will be represented at the 60th anniversary of the Nordic Film Days Lübeck from 30 October to 4 November with a total of 25 films. The films shown include "Was uns nicht umbringt" by Sandra Nettelbeck and the award-winning production "Sibel" by Hamburg-based Riva Film.
This year's Film Forum section will once again focus on films from Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. Directors and Script Writer Sandra Nettelbeck, who hails from Hamburg, will take us on a journey of discovery inWhat does not kill us (Sommerhaus Filmproduktion, Berlin) takes us into the turbulent life of psychotherapist Max, who has his hands full with two teenage daughters, an ex-wife who is also his best friend and lots of weird patients. The captivating story of emancipationSibel is now coming to Lübeck after festival visits to Locarno and Toronto. The drama by filmmakers Çağla Zencirci and Guillaume Giovanetti was co-produced by the Hamburg-based production company Riva Film, which is working with1918. uprising of the sailors has a second film in its programme. The docu-drama by Jens Becker tells the story of the Kiel sailors' uprising at the end of the First World War and was filmed entirely in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. Fans of animated films should be particularly looking forward to the film that has already been celebrated in Cannes.Another Day of Life (Wüste Film/Animationsfabrik, Hamburg) by Raul de la Fuente and Damian Nenow. The film is the gripping story of a three-month journey by the famous Polish reporter Ryszard Kapuściński through war-torn Angola. In the feature film debutGoliath96 (Skalarfilm, Hamburg) by HFBK graduate Marcus Richardt, Katja Riemann plays a woman desperately trying to connect with her 21-year-old son, who has not left his room for two years and lives only in his online world. In the "Special" section, all Jussi Adler Olson fans can look forward to the fourth film adaptation of the novel calledContempt (Zentropa Hamburg), which had 30 days of filming in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. In the DocumentaryHolsteinHeart (Joker Pictures GmbH), Jess Hansen and Johanna Jannsen explore the 120-year-old history of the traditional club Holstein Kiel. An amusing journey through time - not just for football fans.
